In Ms. Fields' fourth-grade class, students worked on an exciting science project to understand how scientists create inventions. Divided into small teams, each group was tasked with designing a device that would "Save Bobby!" Students had to create a device that would slowly and safely land Bobby. They began by brainstorming ideas and discussing potential solutions and designs, which required critical thinking . After agreeing on a concept, the teams worked together to build thier device. The project emphasized problem-solving skills as they encountered and overcame challenges such as making their machines stable or ensuring that a safe and secure landing. Through this hands-on experiment, students learned not only about the scientific principles behind inventions but also the importance of teamwork and persistence in achieving their goals.
