Fourth-grade students collaborated using fraction blocks and whiteboards to represent mixed numbers. By physically manipulating the fraction blocks, they gained a deeper understanding of how whole numbers and fractions combine to form mixed numbers. This hands-on approach allowed them to visualize and solve problems more effectively, reinforcing their fraction skills in a fun and interactive way.
