JANET HARDEN

Mrs. Gorenflo’s first grade class has been hard at work using the new knowledge based EL reading program. The students have been working on habits of good character such as, collaboration, initiative, and perseverance. After reading the book “The Most Magnificent Thing” by Ashley Spires the students worked in groups to create their own magnificent things. Students created things like restroom passes, mailboxes, turn in bins, student work signs, and mobiles to help practice Heart Words. These magnificent things are currently on display in the cases in the main hallway.

Children in a classroom are engaged in a craft activity with boxes and papers on a colorful rug, while shelves and desks are visible in the background.
